Variegated Pittosporum is a broad, evergreen shrub with gray-green leaves edged in creamy white and small spring flowers with an orange-blossom fragrance. It brings year-round brightness to hedges, screens, foundations, and mixed Southern shrub borders. The plant can become large if left unpruned, but selective pruning after flowering can maintain a smaller natural shape. Grow it in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil and some shelter from severe winter wind in colder Zone 8b locations.
