Sweet Box

Sweet Box is a shade-loving evergreen shrub valued for glossy foliage and tiny winter flowers with a surprisingly strong vanilla-like fragrance. Red berries mature to black after flowering and can remain among the foliage for months. The arching, gradually rounded habit fits woodland gardens, shaded foundations, low hedges, and entry beds where its winter scent can be enjoyed.
